Our Purpose

Multicultural Community and Family Support Services is a vital organization in Lewiston/Auburn dedicated to strengthening the behavioral, mental, educational, and family well-being of men, women, and youth in Lewiston and Auburn’s immigrant community. MCFSS is tackling two urgent crises through its core programs:The ongoing breakdown of the family unit due to social pressures, erosion of traditional values, and cultural challenges that hinder integration into the community. The rapid "Americanization" of youth, leading to social and educational struggles, alienation, and diminished self-worth.We serve all nationalities and cultures, recognizing the need for a multicultural approach in supporting families facing alarming challenges. Many youths develop negative attitudes toward life in America, fall into street gangs, and engage in drug use—an issue of deep concern for parents everywhere. Gun violence, once unimaginable in refugee camps or home countries, is now a grim reality. Gangs exploit every means to degrade society—cigarettes, vaping, prostitution, drugs, guns, and even human trafficking. Our mission is to work at the grassroots level, fostering a community where families thrive and shaping a new, collective vision of success.
