Our Purpose

Mujeres Victoriosas is a grassroots organizing and women empowerment organization. Its mission is to educate, empower, create spaces where all women can develop leadership, increase their self-esteem and take action together against racism, discrimination, trauma and violence. Mujeres Victoriosas was established in March 2020 and its goal is to empower women and mothers as leaders in the immigrant community, transforming and transcending to younger generations, sending clear messages of resilience and resistance to children, especially girls. Members of Mujeres Victoriosas are part of shifting the narrative of their worth and value in their families and in our community. Mujeres Victoriosas works with women that are often left out of leadership development and civic engagement. Mujeres Victoriosas provides a political home for women and their families. It started after women from the community decided they needed a space to learn, organize and act to enact change upon the very systems impacting their health, wellbeing and ability to thrive in their communities. We train women in community organizing, advocacy, political education and empower them to lead campaigns focused on changing the very systems impacting them and their families. Mujeres Victoriosas are dismantling racism, sexism and discrimination one campaign at a time.
