Glow in the Dark Lowell was created to illuminate pathways of learning and inclusion for every member of our community. Our new “A for AI: Abilities for All” initiative expands this mission by empowering youth and families—especially those with neurodiverse and multilingual backgrounds—to understand and shape the future of artificial intelligence. We aim to bridge the digital divide by teaching AI literacy, creative problem-solving, and ethical technology use in ways that are culturally relevant, accessible, and hands-on.We believe that every mind, regardless of background or ability, can shine with innovation. By introducing AI through community workshops, mentorship, and inclusive design challenges, we help participants see themselves not just as consumers of technology but as creators and changemakers. This work reflects our larger vision: a more equitable Lowell where diverse perspectives lead innovation, and technology becomes a tool for connection, empowerment, and opportunity for all.
