Our purpose is to serve the basic and developmental needs of the people who live in Maine and who are originally from Chad and the Central African Republic (CAR). We are a group of about 100 people in 25 families. We are a small group compared to other ethnicities in Maine, yet our needs are exactly the same. We are largely uneducated, poor, but we are democratic to our roots and all of our families decide what programs to undertake.
