Brave Nature School’s mission is to provide inclusive, nature-based learning opportunities in the Greater New Haven area. We achieve this by promoting anti-racist, anti-bias and consent based principles, while nurturing children's trust in themselves and their innate connection to the natural world through play. Because we are committed to making this learning accessible, BNS works on a sliding scale tuition model, and partners with a public park to host our programs. Our goal is to expand our programming to meet the growing needs of our community. The programming at Brave Nature School is designed to allow children and families to spend time learning and playing outside. We provide an alternative early education model for families that prioritize environmental education, anti-racism and community-building.
