REGISTRATION COST

In an effort to make the RootSkills Conference as accessible as possible, registration is on a self-identified, sliding scale from $35 - $150. 

The “true" per-person cost of the conference is $150. The true cost is what it takes for us to provide conference space, programming, childcare, translation/interpretation, and food. If you're able, or are being supported by an organizational budget, we encourage you to pay at or above this level. 

As you register, we ask that you to reflect on what is within your means for attending the conference this year. If this range is still outside your means we invite you to apply for a scholarship (details below). Each registration level provides a description of what that amount will cover in supporting the event. However, registering at any level includes access to all agenda components: meals, workshops and evening reception. 

Descriptions:

  • $150 This is the true, per-person cost of organizing and hosting RootSkills. Registering at this amount will help the Grassroots Fund cover staff time, all meals, facility expenses, keynote fees, workshop facilitator stipends, childcare, interpretation, transportation support.
  • $90 Registering at this amount will help the Grassroots Fund cover "hard costs" associated with the event: all meals, facility expenses, keynote fees, workshop facilitator stipends, childcare, interpretation, transportation support. Not included are Grassroots Fund staff time.
  • $60 Registering at this amount will help the Grassroots Fund cover all meals, facility expenses, keynote fees and workshop facilitator stipends. Not included are Grassroots Fund staff expenses, childcare, interpretation, transportation support.
  • $35 Registering at this amount will help the Grassroots Fund cover meals only. Not included are Grassroots Fund staff expenses, facility expenses, keynote fees, workshop facilitator stipends, childcare, interpretation, or transportation support.

Refund Policy

This year, we are using a sliding scale of refunds based on the individual registration payment outlined above. **Cancellations must be received by 5PM on these deadline dates for refund to apply. 

Deadlines:

Thurs, April 18th - 100%: No cancellation fee will be applied to cancellations received by Thurs, April 18th.
Fri, April 19th - 75%: A cancellation fee of 25% registration cost (75% refund) will be applied for cancellations received between April 19th and 25th.
Fri, April 26th - 50%: A cancellation fee of 50% registration cost (50% refund) will be applied for any cancellations received between April 26th and May 2nd.
Fri, May 3rd - 25%: A cancellation fee of 75% registration cost (25% refund) will be applied for any cancellations received between May 3rd and 9th.
Fri, May 10th - No refund: A cancellation fee of 100% registration cost (no refund) will be applied for any cancellations received after May 10th.
