Grow Team O.N.E.

Our purpose is to create a culture of gardening in Burlington's Old North End. Through gardening, Grow Team O.N.E. aims to cultivate community leadership and learning through service. More specifically, Grow Team O.N.E.'s goals are to be a resource to residents who want to learn about growing, harvesting and preserving food; facilitate the creation of sustainable home and neighborhood gardens; connect residents looking for garden space with homeowners; improve access to fresh produce for Old North End residents; implement urban permaculture design principals; and build social capital and strengthen community ties in the Old North End.

Our Mission

The New England Grassroots Environment Fund (NEGEF) seeks to energize and nurture long term civic engagement in local initiatives that create and maintain healthy, just, safe and environmentally sustainable communities. The Fund uses grantmaking, networking, and skills-building to fuel local activism and social change. Please read to learn more!

As part of our ongoing mission to foster grassroots growth throughout New England, NEGEF is developing a variety of web tools to better share news, events and resources. In addition, we're putting our grant program online, making it possible for groups to apply for grants and manage those applications on this site.

As a non-profit, we are especially budget conscious. In our desire to create an advanced platform within our limited budget, we have made the tough decision to only support up-to-date browsers.
