What To Expect After Applying…
- NEGEF staff will email each applicant confirming that the application has been received and is being considered. If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks of the deadline, please contact your program officer.
- NEGEF staff will contact the contact person for your group with questions relevant to your application within 4 to 8 weeks of the application deadline.
- The Grantmaking Committee meets 8 to 10 weeks after the application deadline and collectively makes funding decisions.
- The Board reviews and ultimately approves the final decisions of the Grantmaking Committee within 2 weeks of the Committee meeting.
- Upon Board approval, NEGEF staff will send letters to each applicant notifying them of the decision. For approved applicants, a Grant Agreement Letter is mailed which needs to be signed and sent back to the NEGEF office.
- Checks are cut and mailed to the groups upon receipt of the signed Grant Agreement Letter.
- Final Reports are due to NEGEF staff within one year of the initial grant application deadline. Download the Final Report here.
