As part of our ongoing mission to foster grassroots growth throughout New England, NEGEF is developing a variety of web tools to better share news, events and resources. In addition, we're putting our grant program online, making it possible for groups to apply for grants and manage those applications on this site.

As a non-profit, we are especially budget conscious. In our desire to create an advanced platform within our limited budget, we have made the tough decision to only support up-to-date browsers.

You can download a Word file with NEGEF's application questions if you would like to apply for a grant.

Thanks for your understanding.

What To Expect After Applying…

  1. You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been successfully submitted. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us to confirm the application has been received.
  2. NEGEF staff will reach out to the contact person for your group with questions relevant to your application within 4 to 8 weeks of the application deadline.
  3. The Grantmaking Committee meets 8 to 10 weeks after the application deadline and collectively makes funding decisions.
  4. The Board reviews and ultimately approves the final decisions of the Grantmaking Committee within 2 weeks of the Committee meeting.
  5. Upon Board approval, NEGEF staff will send (regular old snail mail) letters to each applicant notifying them of the decision. For approved applicants, a Grant Agreement Letter is mailed which needs to be signed and sent back to the NEGEF office.
  6. Checks are cut and mailed to the groups upon receipt of the signed Grant Agreement Letter.
  7. Final Reports are due to NEGEF staff within one year of the initial grant application deadline. Download the Final Report by clicking the link on the right.
