As part of our ongoing mission to foster grassroots growth throughout New England, NEGEF is developing a variety of web tools to better share news, events and resources. In addition, we're putting our grant program online, making it possible for groups to apply for grants and manage those applications on this site.
As a non-profit, we are especially budget conscious. In our desire to create an advanced platform within our limited budget, we have made the tough decision to only support up-to-date browsers.
You can download a Word file with NEGEF's application questions if you would like to apply for a grant.
Thanks for your understanding.
We are updating our grant application and will introduce the Seed and Grow grant programs in February. It will allow us to (even) better work with community volunteer groups across New England. The new application will be online by early Februuary. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

The Boston Grants Initiative (BGI) will be folded into a New England wide grant structure that NEGEF is developing for 2012 that will include a small grant program with an accelerated decision making process (Seed grants) and a mid sized grant program with two application deadlines annually (Grow grants). More details will be forthcoming.
The New England Grassroots Environment Fund will continue its collaboration with our Boston partner organizations that serve the urban community groups and small organizations to support continuing efforts in Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Somerville and beyond.
NEGEF offers other services for its grantees, such as fiscal sponsor services and scholarship grants to attend pertinent conferences, events and trainings. Learn more about these services
