With our current CMS developer (Image Mason Design) no longer available to continue the project, NEGEF is now accepting proposals to:

  1. Upgrade our Expression Engine (EE) based custom management system (CMS) to current EE version 2.5.5 (or propose a well-argued switch to an alternative platform).
  2. Integrate contact management tools (tools.bluestatedigital.com) into the system to run email, survey and registration services through a central place.
  3. Integrate administrative and reporting tasks into current system and assist in exploring options for crowdfunding capability.
  4. Enhance search capacity on the Homepage and in the Group and Events sections, both in terms of filter options and results display formats (list, map, charts, etc).
  5. Overhaul Resources section to allow for automatic filtering based on user interests, integrate and simplify the interface in an effort to maximize use of various skillsbuilding tools & tips.
  6. Provide regular assistance, site maintenance and problem solving on an on-going basis.

The New England Grassroots Environment Fund (NEGEF) seeks to energize and nurture long term civic engagement in local initiatives that create and maintain healthy, just, safe and environmentally sustainable communities. As part of our ongoing mission to foster grassroots growth throughout New England, NEGEF is developing a variety of web tools to better share news, events and resources. In addition, we're putting our grant program online, making it possible for groups to apply for grants and manage those applications on this site.

As a non-profit, we are especially budget conscious. In our desire to create an advanced platform within our limited budget, we have made the tough decision to only support up-to-date browsers.
